HCHS PTO 2016-2017

The purpose of the HCHS Parent Teacher Organization is to collaborate with teachers, parents, and community members to provide a medium for the shareholders to meet, receive information, express concerns, and ask questions and to help provide items needed but not covered by the school’s strict budget.

The PTO is working to improve communication and to better meet the needs of all shareholders by changing the structure for its meetings.  Meetings will be two-fold: 1) Business of PTO and 2) Informational with specific topics for each meeting.

The teachers will all be in classrooms during the assigned times providing the parents with an opportunity to have brief conferences and conversations about their child’s progress.

The PTO sponsors the CATS Program.  In previous years, we have provided a computer to the senior who had the most community service hours.  This year, we are going to provide two $500 scholarships to the two students with the most hours.

We are able to do these things because of our fundraisers and our community support.  Our fundraisers include the Miss Moundsman Pageant, sponsoring movie days, and we would like to add one or two more fundraisers this year.

Membership  is $5 per person.  Please come and join this important part of the HCHS Wildcat Nation.
